June marks the beginning of Flamboyant season in Barbados and explosions of vibrant red and yellow blossoms can be seen all over the island. 

The flamboyant flower petals have a beautiful unique crinkle- paper texture that I loved re-creating in brass for this statement hair pin.
 
This design can also double up as a brooch or lapel pin with the addition of my custom made, unique magnetic fastening.
